Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains how DPI Performance Collective (ABN 76 874 089 299) (“we”, “us”), a sole-trader personal training and coaching business in Adelaide, South Australia, run by Danny Ives, collects, uses and protects your information when you use dpiperformance.com, contact us, or become a coaching client.

Information we collect

  • Enquiries and bookings. Your name, email address, phone number, your goals, and the answers you give on our Discovery Call form. If you book a call, the booking tool records your name, email and the time you chose. The Discovery Call form is not the place for medical details; if you include some anyway, we treat them as health information (see below).
  • Onboarding and coaching. When you become a client we collect your contact details, start date and package, your training and nutrition history, and your health information: injuries, medical conditions, medications and health concerns. We also keep your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.
  • Payments. Payments are taken by Direct Debit through GoCardless, and by card through Stripe for some existing clients. We do not see or store your full bank account or card number; the payment provider does. We keep your invoices, payment dates and payment status.
  • Programme and check-in information. Your training programme, and what you choose to share with us while we work together: messages, weigh-ins, measurements, food logs (including from the MacroFactor app), and photos if you choose to send them.
  • Email list. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Website and messages. Basic website statistics (pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type). If you accept cookies, the Meta Pixel adds the details described in the Cookie Policy. Your cookie choice is saved in your own browser. If you message us on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or Google Business Profile, we keep the messages we need to deal with your enquiry.

Health information

Health information is sensitive information. We collect it only from you, only through our Onboarding Form after you have decided to become a client, and only with your consent. We use it to design your training and nutrition safely and to adjust it as you progress. Coaching does not replace medical advice, and you can tell us you would rather not share something, although that may limit what we can safely prescribe.

We do not send health information to Meta, Google or any other advertising tool, and we do not use it to target ads.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and run your free consultation call.
  • To design, deliver and adjust your coaching, and to keep you safe while training.
  • To invoice you, collect payments and keep our business and tax records.
  • To email you about your coaching, and to send our newsletter if you have subscribed.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it, and (only if you accept cookies) to measure and improve our advertising.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We only publish a client’s name, photo, results or testimonial with that client’s permission.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run DPC, and only as needed. Each handles data under its own privacy terms:

  • Jotform our Discovery Call and Onboarding forms.
  • Calendly booking free consultation calls.
  • MailerLite our newsletter and automated emails.
  • Google email (Gmail), calendar, Google Business Profile, Google Maps (only if you load the map) and YouTube.
  • GoCardless and Stripe Direct Debit and card payments.
  • Xero invoicing and accounting, and our accountant where needed for tax.
  • TrainerFriend delivering your training programme.
  • MacroFactor nutrition tracking, if you use it with us.
  • Skool our online community, if you join.
  • Vercel hosting and basic statistics for this website.
  • Meta (Instagram and Facebook) our social media pages and messages, and, only if you accept cookies, measuring visits to this website (Meta Pixel).

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect someone’s safety. Many of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe, under their own privacy terms. We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect it.

Google and social media accounts

DPI Performance Collective connects its own YouTube channel, Google Business Profile, Instagram account and Facebook Page to scheduling software so that we can publish our own posts and videos. That software accesses only our own accounts, to publish content and to read basic post performance figures such as views. It does not collect or store information about the people who view, follow or comment on our content.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and tracking

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and tracking tool we use, what it does and how to change your choice.

In short: our basic website statistics (provided by Vercel) do not use advertising cookies. The Meta Pixel, which can set cookies and send your page activity, IP address and device details to Meta, loads only if you click Accept on our cookie notice. The map on the Contact page loads only if you click the button to load it.

Email marketing

We send our newsletter only to people who ask for it, for example by ticking the box on our form or signing up. Each email says who it is from and has an unsubscribe link, and we also act on a request to stop made by reply. We do not sell or rent our email list.

Keeping your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including using password-protected accounts and reputable services that encrypt data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

We keep your coaching records while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep financial records for at least five years, as Australian tax law requires. When information is no longer needed we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Your rights

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (we may need to keep some records to meet legal obligations), or unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Where it is practical you can also deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym, for example when asking a general question, although we need your real details to coach you. Contact us at dpifitness1@gmail.com.

If you have a complaint, tell us first and we will try to fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
